The person behind the book
Meet David Last.
David was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, and attended Denver Jewish Day School. He has cerebral palsy and has navigated physical and cognitive challenges throughout daily life.
David has faced numerous obstacles and has continued trying to grow from each one. That desire led him to write Forged by Limitations: to share the experiences that shaped him, acknowledge the people and lessons that helped him, and offer honest encouragement to others moving through difficult moments.
The next chapter is conversation.
The book gave David a way to put lived experience into words. Speaking gives him a way to meet readers, students, advocates, and community groups in the questions that follow.
